When this car came into the yard, I checked it over for new parts and did look under the back rear to check the muffler, but was wrecked by the single centre support they use in this yard, don't know why the use that, always wrecks 240 mufflers, and is a bit unsafe as far as I am concerned. But for some reason I did not look at the rear fuel pump. A few weeks later I was standing near the rear of the car and chatting to another picker in the yard. He glanced at the car and said, something sure looks new under there. Well I took a second look and the fuel pump was brand new and a Bosch one too. I could not believe I had missed it the first time, so I grabbed it and it so easy to remove, all new nuts.
Will make a great spare for my 242 GL restoration and all pricing in the yard is , $19.95, great price for a brand new electric Bosch fuel pump!
